The Live Ice XP version is simply a Windows version that doesnt require any

installation, just run it on the fly and access all your files normally, if your

main OS doesnt load or theres something broken with it. Needless to say, its THE

tool in case of emergency situations. Just google it up (Windows Live XP) if you

need more info.

The Windows Emergency Recovery Console...Im sure you all know already what its

there for, but anyway...it recovers the system when it's really messed up and won't

load, plus some other nice XP recovery tools.

Last but not least, Hiren's bootCD is just another recovery and diagnose set of

tools that you can run at bootup, that you might need.

Windows Ice XP v4 Evolution & Basic
These are the two new versions of Ice XP.
We've got the standard one, Ice XP v4 Evolution, and the slim one, Ice XP v4 Basic.
As you can imagine, the Basic version got stripped of things that most people dont

really need, slowing down the system with stuff running in the background. But dont

worry, if you've never used them, you wont miss them.
Anyway, in case you're not sure which one to get, the Evolution will be the best

choice.
As in previous Ice versions, I've added lots of tweaks but Windows Ice Xp v4 core

is very similar to v3...seeing as it was pretty much perfect already.

...but its in italian...so you know...

Now let's get down to business...

Windows Ice XP v4 features
Based on Windows Xp Professional, OEM version.
Service Pack 3 and Windows Updates (up to October) integrated.

Original Windows Vista Sidebar + gadgets
Vista Ice Style Theme (theme, sounds, wallpapers, cursors, screensavers and Vista

fonts).
Unattended installation (means you dont have to do a thing till the end, just press

install)

In case your sata hard disk/motherboard wont pick up the normal OS installation,you

can choose the SATA drivers version to fix the problem, as I integrated most known

drivers.

Installation
As I've already said, the whole process will be Unattended, which means you wont

have to do anything after you've hit the installation button. Once it's all done,

the only thing you have to do is type in the main user account name, and then

choose what software to install (if theres any you want) from the Ice Post-Install

interface.

Windows Ice Xp v4 Evolution can otherwise be installed as an upgrade (if the OS you

are attempting to upgrade is compatible), so you wont need to boot from DVD.
In case no error message pops up, you are good to go and your system will be

upgraded to Windows Ice v4.
It might ask for a key, so just check the !CRACKS! folder, you'll find one.

Available with all of the OS installations, with about 100 softwares to choose

from.
It will run automatically once the Windows installation is done, but you can always

run it from DVD anytime, so dont worry if you forget something.

Slightly improved over my previous release "XP pre SP4".In creation of this OS, new methods (HFSLIP etc) are implemented instead of Nlite. Now Windows structure is more stable and optimized.Base on Windows XP Professional SP3 - 5.1.2600.5512

Windows XP SP4 Jan2009 with Repair function

Size: 699 MB (733,478,912 bytes)

Now with:
- Fully updated with more updates on less space-only one CD (including latest MS security updates from December 2008)
- REPAIR Function fully functional (can repair this or other Windows XP)
- Masstorage drivers for SATA/RAID support (integrated widely used drivers as much as I could found )
- Validated, can freely go to update on Microsoft with integrated latest WGA/OGA
- Patched for incresed numer of connections
- UxTheme patched (One VisualStyle is integrated with few nice Winter Wallpapers, for those that don't like usual
Win XP look)
- System-ready for (HD) Audio driver install (missing in original Windows XP SP3)
- Extended Control Panel with new functions

No other drivers are integrated, must install sound, graphics, from own sources (in some cases it is healthier for the machine)

Windows Setup is not as usual unattended, but is like in original Windows (see pictures), i.e must agree with terms, must enter Serial number...
BEFORE STARTING WINDOWS SETUP DON'T FORGET TO WRITE DOWN ANY OF THE ALTERNATIVE SERIAL NUMBERS FROM FILE "Serial" ON THE ROOT OF THIS ISO. WILL NEED THEM TO WRITE DURING SETUP.
Everything is like in original Windows. But, don't worry, this OS is activated and fully updated.
One Theme integrated with winter Walls (activate through Desktop Properties) if don't like default Win look.

I had trouble with megaposters Vista installing any updates, particularly KB940105 (Virtual Address Memory hotfix) which fixes Crysis from randomly quitting to the desktop for me. This version CAN INSTALL UPDATES via Windows Update OR .msu's, .exe's etc. I have also integrated all hotfixes suggested on Nvidias website: Site

ATI users can uninstall KB945149 if they have problems, all other hotfixes are also listed on ATI's site. If you know of any other updates that would specifically help this GAMING version of Vista, plz post and I will integrate with a later version (probably when SP1 comes out, as i will create an integrated release then) Also if you know any safe tweaks, registry edits, general tips, ANYTHING that would aid FPS and game performance PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST!!! Any way I can make this simple release better too, constructive criticism always welcome! This Vista uses appx. half (less even!) the RAM of regular Vista Ultimate x64.

(SP3, final build, by Microsoft of course!) There are a few things I disabled on purpose (which you can re-enable) such as automatic updates and such, simply go to services.msc and enable them if you want to, however there are no updates left t download .. GodlyXP is fully updated, Genuine, no Serial required (GodlyXP is legal only if you change the serial later .. which you don't need to do, however it may be a good idea) I could write a list of things I removed and what tweaks have been done to the registry hives, however I feel no need to.
